Hi, my name is Hilary Tanouye and ever since Gilmore Girls aired in 2000, I have loved watching every episode. Matching the quick-paced dialogue, and learning the cultural references that Lorelai and Rory have catalogued in their brains.
Like Rory, I am a perpetual student, finding joy in discovering new histories, obscure facts and the like. I graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Throughout my university career, I was able to take extra-curricular many courses such as: French Art and Culture, History of Show Business and History of Madness.
My business education led me to pursue Public Relations. My future career aspirations would be to work for organizations that believe in Corporate Social Responsibility. I’ve always been interested in helping others, and whole-heartedly believes that organizations are obligated to not only do right for themselves, but for their stakeholders and the environment.
When presented with the opportunity to create a blog for my Public Relations program at Niagara College I was excited to merge two of my favourite things: Gilmore Girls and random stories/facts.
In my spare time, you can find me catching up on my Netflix queue or teaching Highland Dance (and before you ask, not it is NOT Irish Dancing).
Thanks for taking the time to read this. If you’d like to contact me feel free to reach out.
